Hi All,
I just built a trailer to store and tow my wife and I's Tarpons on. I have the boats resting on padded pvc pipes that run parallel with the boat and line up with the channels. The boats are stored on the the trailer in the garage. Is this a bad way to store them? Will this cause my boats to warp? Any comments or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Sounds like it will be OK -preferrable to rest them on the side, but as long as they are out of the sun, you should be OK.
I wouldn't load alot of gear on top unless you are heading to the launch.
How about a photo?
I keep mine flat on my trailer 99% of the time. What can happen with yaks tied to a trailer for long periods is "oil canning" where a section of the boat gets pushed in. This happens most of the time when the the boats are only supported in a couple of places.
The other thing that can happens is still 'oil canning" but a lot less noticeable. The rocker molded into the keel will slowly flatten out. Not a big problem.
The preference is to store them on their sides. Like I said though, mine are flat 99% of the time they're on my trailer.

I will post pictures of the trailer as soon as I finish. I appreciate your help and think I am going to leave it the way I am stating. Thanks again!
