Got schooled on how not to portage a Commander 120 yesterday. It was not meant for carrying overhead more than 50 yards or so, that's for sure. Any recommendations, other than a 2 wheeled transporter? I'll probably end up getting one of those anyway, but am curious of anyone has made a portage adapter of sorts for the Commander?

Otherwise, I love the commander ffor how it handles!

I carry my commander with the side leg pad on my right shoulder. If your going more than 50 yards, you should get/make a cart. Going over 50 yards you have to make one trip to carry the commander, one for rods and gear, one for lunch and misc. You load all in the Commander roll it all with the cart.

I am not sure what a "portage adapter" could be, other than a cart.

A yoke would be a nice portage adapter. With a securely mounted yoke the Commander would carry like a canoe.

God Bless,

Don
