Commander 140 fishing box w/ rod holders

I made this fishing box with rod holders. When you make this run the shock cord throught the inside so the crate. This will push down on the crate and keep it from bouncing up and down. I used the hooks from the slidetrax hooks and adjusted them so it sits right behind the seat. I also bought so coiled kayak paddle leashed than hook onto the crate and attach to my fishing rods shoould I drop one.

1 - milk crate

6 - 5/16 Stainless Steel self locking nuts

3 - 5/16 SS washers

3 - 5/16 SS Fender washers

4 foot of shock cord from Eastern Mountain Sports

Very nice! I have a very similar setup with a milk crate and some homemade rod holders made from 1.5" PVC. However, I never thought to add the bungie cords, great improvement!
