Hi to the group!

First post here .. NEWB for sure ...

Have prowled the internet for a few weeks looking and reading comparisons.

Seems the Ride 135 is the way for me to go on a first yak. May even try some fishing too.

Mostly just get out on the water and enjoy ...

Now, the question .. do many USED 135's turn up or are the current owners reluctant to part with them?

Got caught up in the National Craze of Job Lay-off .. **SIGH**  so, trying to find a used yak to regain some sense of sanity.

Looks like a dealer is gonna have a DEMO day in a week .. hope they bring a 135 for a test drive !!

Later taters,

Gordie

Hey Gordie
As a long time kayaker and proud owner of a pair of new Ride 135s I can't imagine turning loose of them.
I own a Current Designs Solstice kayak that allows me to paddle 25+ miles a day if wanted but these Rides are such nice stable carefree boats. My girlfriend and I scuba dive off them. We load them up with a lot of gear and take off. The Rides takes us to the very best dive sites that were only accessible from charter boats previously.
If/when you find your Ride you too will enjoy every moment on the water.
Goodluck.

Try www.texaskayakfisherman.com, there is always guys posting their yaks for sale. Some Rides have come up over the past month or so.
They run up occasionally on Craigslist and the kayak fishing boards. They sell FAST, so you'll need to keep watch on the forums regularly.
Don't sweat it if a boat is a great price but a long distance away. FORWARD AIR can ship a kayak across the country for about $125 as long as you use the terminal to terminal option. There are terminals at a lot of major airports.

Good luck with your search.
One just popped up in the classifieds on Georgia Kayak Fishing. It's an 08 and includes a color depth sounder.

No financial interest, not my boat, not one of my firends, yada yada yada...
