Hello everyone!,

I live in Detroit, MI and as many of you already know the Detroit river has one of the largestest walleye runs in the country, one problem though the walleye are in specific places at different times so if you dont have a fish finder you dont key in on those fish. So, what would be a great portable fish finder for a tarpon 120? I want to buy a fish finder so I could use in  the river, but I dont know which one is best. I came down to two choise, Hummingbird pirahah and the Hummigbird fishin buddy. Which one do you guys believe is best, if you know another cheap portable fish finder feel free to share.

I have my eye on the Humminbird 385ci or the 345c DI but those are a bit more expensive. I think you can get a decent lowrance for between $100-250.

I own the portable Hummingbird fishing buddy 110 for years, it works great, just make sure to replace the batteries every 3 month and never store fish finder with the batteries inside for a long time.

I have been looking at the Lowrance Elite-4 DSI.  Has charting as well.  That with the Mad Frog Gear "Liberator" transducer mounting arm the the Kayak Fishing Supply battery box.  Then I can move it between my kayak and my small aluminum power boat.
