Kayak Safety/Paddling Course

Just curious if anyone has taken a safety and paddling course where you learn how to exit and enter the kayak from deep water and how to properly paddle. I am considering this at a local kayak center even though there focus is more on sea kayaking.

YES! YES! YES!

I had to take the ACA courses in order to guide for saltwater species in Texas. At the time I took the courses required, I had already been kayak fishing for 7-8 years. I learned a lot and it is a great thing for beginners. I knew how to do deep-water re-entries already, but I learned more about proper strokes and better yet, rescue techniques for other paddlers paddling with you. Definitely worth the money!!!!!

I highly recommend folks new to the sport take ACA paddling classes!
