is there a way to get shade on 135 ride 2011

i fish in florida in summer?

how about more storeage in the middle of the boat. i put plastice cup in drink holder and put pliers and dehooker,sicsors and knife.

looking for some ideas like side storeage bags or nets.

i like looking at other peoples kayak to get some ideas i can use.

I have a Tarpon 160 and have looked at making a shade cover as well.  Check out my photos and you will see a PVC structure that holds my crate and my day cooler (cooler is not shown in the photos).  The PVC frame work extends over my head and was done that way with a Bimini type cover in mind.  I know there are ready made covers (I believe Hobie) out there but I don't know how effective they are.  Todate my Bimini is a wide brimed hat.

I have seen some pics of guys putting golf umbrellas in a rod holder behind the seat. If it helps I am pretty sure the guy was fishing the oil rigs off Texas but I don't think it was on "30 miles out"
