I have recently bought a ride 135 and am enjoying it. I can stand and am getting more comfortable while doing so, and sitting it feels so solid i have no worries.
my stats: 6'4 300lbs
My only prob is this. I have knee issues and am not quite as flexible as some due to some injuries overseas. Be cause of this i cannot go from sitting to standing as of yet. I am trying to figure out a way, but it is escaping me, the few attempts i have made have ended up with me in the water and my buddies laughing there ass off :D
Things i have attempted so far:
1. Simply placing my hands on either side of the seat and trying to bring my feet in and rock up onto them... Results: No go, cant even get up to my feet.
2. Practiced for a while on the carpet at the house and realized that i can do it, if i only use one hand which means that with as heavy as i am, it will lean to much and splash.
I am wondering if there is a aftermarket item that might help me get from a sitting to a standing position(and back to a sitting) that wont break the bank.
Thnx in advance.

Permalink Reply by Jeff Asher on May 26, 2012 at 6:19am Ashley is right on what I do and I have a high center of gravity too. I use a larger bow line with a loop instead of a strap my problem is getting down gently which the rope solved that problem.

Permalink Reply by Vin Rodriguez on July 30, 2012 at 12:34pm maybe you could try installing a set of these giving you a lil more leverage with something higher than the seat?
