The rack and roll can be stored flat against the wall in your garage or apartment when not in use, used as a kayak dolly when you arrive at your launch, has the ground clearance for off road, and has an available extended tongue for those longer boats like the T160 and such. We hauled our 18 foot sea kayaks on it with no problem. Moving the kayaks to the rear of the vehicle has a number of benefits most folks never realize until they finally pull the trigger and get one. Need to check the yaks: Look left in the rear view mirror, look center into the rear view mirror, now look right into the rear view mirror... straps are tight and the kayaks are riding well. Checks done at 70mph, checks complete!

Larry - Tina exaggerates a bit. Yes - that's our KD65 Rack and Roll and we have had it about five years, have it set up for the Commanders with Mako Saddles and it doesn't have quite 50k on it, about 35,000 but still looks and tows like new. The trailer is 65" wide and will run 80mph on the interstate no problem. We also have the KD78 (78" wide) set up for the Hobies with a yakima rocket box between the Jcradles...sweet for the long runs to the ocean from Central VA, even for the trips to SC and FL.. check with Tom at Appomattox River Company for great pricing, he is our go to guy for everything kayak related, including the trailers.. www.paddleva.com

Larry that is the RackNRoll trailer from Yakima, they carry those trailers now. That one in particular was the original made by another gentelman the original designer, before he sold the trailer to Yakima, but they are all like this one just tweeked a little with new wiring harness, wheels, etc. Just google Yakima.com and you will be able to order you one directly from them. they are excellent trailers and that one has over 50,000 miles on it.

Jim, I love your new Commander, but I'm interested to know more about the trailer. I have seen these before, but I don't know the manufacturer, what they cost, or any other info. Can you help?

My bow and stern covers are not saggy like that at all. Those look like the just need a few adjustments.

I need a cover like the one of the right. Where would I get one of those?!
