Bill Schultz replied to Steve Bussell's discussion Tarpon 100 too small?
"I've paddled the Tarpon 100 a half dozen days for bass and, no it's not too small.   BUT, it depends what types of water you're fishing.  Small Lakes, I like the Tarpon 120 or 140.  Actually I use the 140 and Commander…"

Malone MicroSport Trailer

Some of you know how impressed I've been with the Malone Kayak Racks, especially the Seawing with Stinger. Well, things have gotten easier for me this year with my Malone MicroSport trailer. I love it and don't have to put the kayaks on the Outback. Actually, getting them up there was less of a hassle than tying them down, and that was tougher with two on the top.The trailer comes unassembled, but if you can follow directions and are "reasonably" handy (which is what I am), you can do it in…See More

Great use of the "thwart" in my Commander

Here's another great way to take a picture when you're alone.I bought this little flexible tripod at Walmart and found that it works great with my waterproof Canon D10 camera. I spent a couple of days on the water and just left it attached. I've attached a picture from last Sunday. Not the biggest smallie, but a sample of how this little outfit works.BillSee More

Finally out in my new Commander

Last Friday I finally got out in my new Commander 120 Angler. Great day on the small lake with 25-30 mph winds, but still had fun and caught some bass. I also was out the next two days in much better conditions and was very impressed with the Commander.

Things I really like:

* Ability to stand, and not just for sight fishing and seeing structure in clear water. Stretching the legs.

* The two seating options are great. And, having the ability to remove the…

Canoecopia, Madison, WI

All the Confluence companies had a high-profile presence at Canoecopia, March 12-14, 2010.

Chris LaMessurier and I staffed the fishing area as Wilderness Systems Pro Staffers. I had well-atended seminars on both Saturday and Sunday, but other than that and going to the bathroom a few times, we were swamped all-day each day with people interested in the Commander and Tarpons.

There were quite a few "canoers" interested in the Commander and many recreational…
