11/21 not an epic day on Estero Bay

It looked to be a perfect day. Slightly overcast with low winds, and toward the end of an incoming tide. I hadn't launched at Hickory Pass for a while and thought I would check out what's been happening around there.  I brought live bait, but Jim VanPelt and I started out with Gulp, DOA, and in his case, Riptides. It started out slow, and we weren't finding anything in our regular spots. Another friend who joined us, Tom Reddick, started hitting some smaller flounder and jacks with a DOA terror…See More

recent articles

Here are some recent articles I wrote about kayak fishing in Florida. As of now, about half of the people on our fishing team and kayak fishing club fish out of Wilderness Systems kayaks. I currently use a Tarpon 160, mainly for tournament use, and a Commander 140 for video or recreational use. I have signed with Hobie so I won't be posting here much longer, but I thought I would share as much as I can before I switch. This is an article about freshwater exotic kayak fishing in Miami.…See More

Southern Redfish Classic - Series Finale

Before I start, an apology about the pictures. I was only able to get a couple of pics before my camera crapped out on me!
