"He was pretty tired at that point, I caught him on light gear so it was a long fight. I looped a rope from the back of my yak around his snout so he couldn't open his mouth. Took a few pics and let him go. "

We entered the Deleon Classic again this year. It is a State level catfish tournament. There was some well known local cat guys at the tourney, I feel the 4 best guys in the state were there. Me and my fishing partner Cody "my nephew" were the second and third to enter. Had enough bait in an hour or so and started fishing. About 2 hours into it I hooked up with a 37# flat, a good start. - I have been kayak fishing for about 8 years now. I started in Arizona catching trophy class Flatheads. I moved to Texas for two years. there I caught a 7' Alligator Gar, 6' Sharks, countless reds and spec trout all from my yaks. Now I am in AZ again so back to flathead Catfish.

- Took first in 4 catfish tournament in AZ. taken 2nd in 3. and placed in many. Me and my fishing partner Cody have taken 1st and 2nd places in several tourneys.

- Gulf Coast and any waters holding trophy class flatheads.
