With winter upon us, I was cleaning out all my fishing stuff and I ran across a product that I had one last year in a tournament. When I won it, I had an older phone that would not work in the case but I held on to it. Now that I have moved into the 21st century with an Evo HTC, this product will come in handy. Last weekend was the Get Outdoors Tournament in Greensboro NC. The tournament benefited HOW (Heroes on the Water). With 44 registered anglers and another 10 HOW Vets the event was able to raise over $2000 for HOW in only its third year as tournament. The tournament is run through by Get Outdoors a local kayak retailer but Will Cimino is really the guy who runs it behind the scenes and has done an excellent job.....even though he does go to UNC. Well, next up is the Get Outdoors Event in Greensboro NC. This a bass tournament where big bass wins. Pretty simple format. It benefits Heroes on the Water. First Prize is a 2010 Wilderness Systems Commander that would look god next to my other Commander (which I have yet to get out on the water). I may actually take that with me this weekend and use it for the first time in the tournament. I will have to give that some serious consideration.

Went down on Friday for this weekends first event in the IFA in the Atlantic Division which was held in Charleston SC. I had been to Charleston on several occassions but never to fish. And I believe the fishing can be fantastic although right now conditions are a little tough as was the fishing. For those who miss an event like the Extreme Edge....I think the IFA did a great job.
