Dry Case for your phone or electronics

With winter upon us, I was cleaning out all my fishing stuff and I ran across a product that I had one last year in a tournament.  When I won it, I had an older phone that would not work in the case but I held on to it.  Now that I have moved into the 21st century with an Evo HTC, this product will come in handy.  For those with IPhones, or even ITouches or similar types of phones or electronics this might be worth while.  The case easily fits my phone, which is larger than most.  Once you put…See More

Get Outdoors Tournament Results - the Big winner HOW

Last weekend was the Get Outdoors Tournament in Greensboro NC. The tournament benefited HOW (Heroes on the Water). With 44 registered anglers and another 10 HOW Vets the event was able to raise over $2000 for HOW in only its third year as tournament. The tournament is run through by Get Outdoors a local kayak retailer but Will Cimino is really the guy who runs it behind the scenes and has done an excellent job.....even though he does go to UNC. He will be moving on and the event will be…

Get Outdoors Tournament - Greensboro NC

Well, next up is the Get Outdoors Event in Greensboro NC. This a bass tournament where big bass wins. Pretty simple format. It benefits Heroes on the Water. First Prize is a 2010 Wilderness Systems Commander that would look god next to my other Commander (which I have yet to get out on the water). I may actually take that with me this weekend and use it for the first time in the tournament. I will have to give that some serious consideration.

Tournament Captains Meeting is…

IFA in Charleston Report

Went down on Friday for this weekends first event in the IFA in the Atlantic Division which was held in Charleston SC. I had been to Charleston on several occassions but never to fish. And I believe the fishing can be fantastic although right now conditions are a little tough as was the fishing. For those who miss an event like the Extreme Edge....I think the IFA did a great job. It had that same type of feel of being a big time tournament, well organized and run. The folks running it are…

Everything is great in Elizabeth City. I'm looking forward to heading down to Hatteras Island for a kayak fishing trip and plan to purchase a Ride 135 Angler while I'm on the Outer Banks.

Yes there are plenty of places to wade and catch fish. The key here is to look for sandy bottoms. There is alot of pluff mud here and that stuff is like quick sand. Most people including myself will wade in the Broad River down here in Beaufort. Hunting Island is also a good spot too. Let me know if you ever plan to come down.

I just made my plug in cart out of some detachable golf bag cart wheels and pvc. I can turn it upside down and plug it in so it will be my spare rod(s) holder in the back. I'll put some pics on later. I am trying to rig up my anchor trolly to the bow, so my anchor point is right on the nose. so I can anchor in the current without ferrying across the river. I will use it for fishing, camping, hunting, and diving. I am on the county sheriff's dive team, so it may come in handy. Does anyone have suggestions how to keep rigging 'clean' to limit snags, and tangling?
