My buddy Jason let me know there was a small break in the rain so we decided to take a trip on the water and get the cobwebs out.  The day started out bad for Jason when he missed his rod holder and dropped a rod into 5 feet of water.  I immediately chunked out my anchor that has a bright red buoy on the end to mark the area he lost the rod.  We spent a frustrating 30 minutes looking for a Stradic on a Gloomis rod and decided t look later and go fish.   I happen upon this 27" Redfish with a…

I picked up my new Coleman Tent today that I ordered from Cabelas. i thought this would make a good addition to out kayak fishing expeditions and help lower the cost of our accommodations. I set it up in the back yard by myself and it too less than 20 minutes by myself. It says it sleeps 6 but I would keep it at 4 adults max, unless someone sleeps on the porch.

It was the second leg of the East Coast division and I arrived Friday Morning in the North end of Mosquito Lagoon to fish the east side kind of late in the morning with John Chapman. Third Annual Forgotten Coast Kayak Fishing Classic is in the books. 157anglers competed for kayaks, paddles, PFD’s, stake out poles, and pride. The proceeds went to the Meals on Wheels Program at Wakulla County Senior Services Center. We held the event at the Moose Lodge in Panacea Florida, and folks came from Californai, Texas, New York, Virginia, and even Minnesota to fish this years event.
