Stir crazy

On December 2nd, after several years of fighting the pain I bit the bullet and had shoulder surgery.  What was supposed to be a quick 45 minute cleanup procedure turned into a 2 hr three screws later shoulder rebuild.  Before I went in I was informed I should have a soft sling for a few weeks and be back within 3-5 weeks.  Ended up with a contraption for six weeks and 3-5 months of rehab. Next week will be three months and I am progressing at a much better rate than anticipated.  That is the…See More

WS Commander 120 review

The Commander is Wilderness Systems first entry into the canoe/kayak "hybrid" type boats. Not sure why they are called hybrids at all as, at least in my opinion, they are canoes you paddle with a kayak paddle. The only big difference I see is the seat which is similar to the seat Wildreness Systems puts in their kayaks. Here are the specifications from the WS website-Length: 12' / 366 cm Width: 30.25" / 77 cm Max Capacity: 400 lbs / 181 kg Deck Height: 13.5" / 34 cm Weight: 68 lbs / 31 kg…See More

Paddle-Fishing.Com Tournament Series Event #3 Final Results

We had 32 anglers show up today to fish the waters of Upper Tampa Bay/Caladesi Island/Honeymoon area. This was the third event of the Paddle-Fishing.com Tournament Series 2009-2010. The format allowed the anglers to choose one lure type and use that lure all day.

The day started off very windy and did not let up for most of the day. There was one slam caught so the second and third place winners were the best of two fish. . The top three winners took home cash and their choice of a… Continue

Paddle-Fishing.Com Tournament Series Event #2 Final Results

We had 45 anglers show up today to fish the waters of Ft Desoto and South St Petersburg. This was the second event of the Paddle-Fishing.com Tournament Series 2009-2010. The format allowed the anglers to bring whatever they would like to fish with.

The day started off very nice with a little wind and nice incoming tide but eventually the fish won out with a pretty slow fishing day for all. There were no slams caught and in total only 4 redfish and 9 snook were caught by 45 anglers… Continue

Hi Todd
Went out salmon fishing but when your sitting in the Pungo 120 Angler you can't reach the rod holder so took it off and re positioned it you would think who ever installed it would put it in a position were it could be used ???? Today I'm going to figure out how to put a anchor trolley on. Ed

Thanks, I'm a bit heavier than that boat was intended for, so I get more water in than out. Still, it's a good stable kayak and I love it so far. Haven't had it long.

Hi Todd
Thank You and I use Nikon. You have great photos on your site very nice. I just got my boat and have only used it twice so can't wait to go salmon fishing as I live on the west coast of British Columbia but mainly bought the boat for photography. All the very best. Ed
