Paddle-Fishing.Com Tournament Series Event #2 Final Results

We had 45 anglers show up today to fish the waters of Ft Desoto and South St Petersburg. This was the second event of the Paddle-Fishing.com Tournament Series 2009-2010. The format allowed the anglers to bring whatever they would like to fish with.

The day started off very nice with a little wind and nice incoming tide but eventually the fish won out with a pretty slow fishing day for all. There were no slams caught and in total only 4 redfish and 9 snook were caught by 45 anglers using whatever lure they wanted to. The top three slam winners took home cash and their choice of a Wang Anchor, a print from Finatic Designs or a Polar Bear Cooler.

First Place-Heywood with a snook/redfish combo of 45.5". He took home the Polar Bear Cooler and $225.00.

Second Place-SilverK with a snook/trout combo of 44.5". He took home the print from Finatic Designs and $135.00.

Third Place-SlikNik with a snook/trout combo of 42.5". He took home a Wang Anchor and $90.00.

We had 6 division winners. They had their choice of gift certificates from-
Bill Jacksons

Holy Mackerel Tackle
Bluewater Fishing Supply
Dogfish Tackle

Trout
First place-RayH with a 24.5" trout.

Dick's Sporting Goods (represented by Bassboy) donated some great prizes with numerous raffle items given away. We also had raffle items donated by Skwoosh and hurricanesafetylight.com. which are two new sponsors that have donated some quality prizes for out competing anglers. If you do business with our sponsors please thank them for supporting the Paddle-Fishing.com Tournament Series.

It was a tough fishing day for sure. Thanks to all who came out and participated. We had a great showing at the Nepa HUt afterwards, thanks for coming out and supporting the winners.

Hope to see everyone, and more, at the third event on December 12th.

Mine or his? He doesnt know how to use a gold dart. Mine was actually on a Mangrove Red Dart...but it was a Dart by far the best most consistent producing soft plastic I have in my tackle box. And all that thanks goes to MarkM who used that gold one all that time. I eventually switched over.

THe fish don't like the high pressure no more than they do the low pressure, and mix that with the full moon. But this weekend will be purrfect. Get Ready.

I was only able to find this 22.5" trout. Wierd/ strange day for fishing, the conditions were very good but the fish did not want to cooperate.
