Finally got around to rigging up my new Tarpon 140....I know months have passed.....but think I have all the current Slidetrax accessories now. I was able to rig this up for fishing by drilling only two screws for the back pad eye for my anchor trolley. I was able to use all the Slidetrax items, even though I do not currently use a fish finder, but plan on adding that later. The new Dashboard with the sliding Tool Holder is great. Although I have yet to figure out what all the slots and holes are for on it. But it keeps me from having to have my Boga Grip and pliers floating around in the cockpit. I like being able to use the Scotty Mounts on the trax, both beside and behind the cockpit. Which I have used before but never in tandem. They are mounted to a Universal mount that fits the new system. Using the side handle and attaching one pad eye, I was able to rig a rear anchor trolley which I rarely use but prefer for it to be in the back when needed. I always attach it to the side away from the rudder line. I am using a wading tether that I can also use as a tow rope rather than attaching it to the kayak itself. It is hooked to the bow handle, and gives me the ability to reach every part of the kayak. Here are some photos during the process and the finished project. Too bad I don't have any fish in the front yard!
